Catherine St. Pierre is a partner at Erlingson Banks, PLLC.

Cathy earned her Bachelor of Arts in political science from Louisiana State University in 1984 and her Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University in 1987.

Cathy’s practice focuses on employment law, general civil litigation, with an emphasis on civil rights litigation, First Amendment litigation, and corrections litigation. She has experience in the areas of governmental relations, insurance regulatory work, director and officer liability, and accountant liability.

Cathy is admitted to practice in Louisiana and has practiced before the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals 5th Circuit, the U.S. Federal Claims Court, the U.S. Federal Circuit, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District.  In addition, Cathy is a member of the Federal Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the Baton Rouge Bar Association along with the Defense research Institute.   

Cathy was previously chair of both the St. Aloysius Church’s Pastoral Council and the Social Responsibility Commission. She has served on the Board of the Junior League of Baton Rouge as a legal advisor.
