All the men and women working at the East Baton Rouge Sheriffs Office were thanked for their selfless dedication and service to the community by the Sheriff at the EBRSO Annual Awards Ceremony held last week. Additionally, numerous deputies were presented with awards for going above and beyond, including presentation of Lifesaving and Distinguished Service to the Community awards. Sheriff Sid Gautreaux recognized deputies of their 25 and 30 years of service to the department and sadly had several In Memoriam recognitions to the families of now deceased deputies that devoted their lives to the department.
