Alexandra M. Lamonthe
A native of New Orleans, Alexandra earned her undergraduate degree from Tulane University in 1993, and her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Tulane University Law School in 1998.
Alexandra is licensed to practice in the State of Louisiana, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals 5th Circuit.
Alexandra’s practice is focused primarily in litigation, with an emphasis on civil rights defense and specifically, law enforcement defense. She is also experienced in the areas of medical malpractice, tort based litigation, transactional work and insurance regulatory work.
Prior to joining Erlingson Banks, Alexandra served as the Compliance Bureau Manager for the New Orleans Police Department in relation to the Consent Decree and served as liaison between the New Orleans Police Department and the Department of Justice. In that regard, Alexandra drafted and implemented policies and procedures for the New Orleans Police Department to ensure compliance with local, state and federal mandates of the Consent Decree. In addition, Alexandra developed and instructed training courses for the New Orleans Police Department Academy.
