Erlingson Banks attorney Mary Erlingson honored by Baton Rouge Area Victims Empowered
Erlingson Banks, PLLC, Managing Partner Mary Erlingson was honored by Baton Rouge Area Victims Empowered at the Inaugural Survivor Tree Lighting Ceremony on April 7, 2015, for her many hours of professional assistance and compassion concerning victims of crime in East Baton Rouge Parish. The Survivor Tree was christened by leaders of local law enforcement, including Mayor-President Kip Holden, East Baton Rouge Sheriff Sid Gautreaux, Chief of Police Carl Dabadie, District Attorney Hillar Moore, and U.S. Attorney Walt Green, survivor families, and their advocates. The survivor tree will be lit each year during the month of April to honor all victims of violent crime in East Baton Rouge Parish.
Baton Rouge Area Victims Empowered was formed to assist law enforcement, criminal justice, and advocacy groups better address the needs of victims of crime, while also promoting public awareness of crime victim's rights and services.
